The old tagging API approach required you to manually configure and maintain infrastructure across regions, which was complex and error prone. With this release, Bearse delivers significant improvements in performance, reliability, and resource coverage by moving to Resource Explorer 2, making asset discovery faster and more dependable.
This update provides:
- Optimized indexing that allows Bearse reports to generate 3 - 5x faster than before.
- Native metadata access that eliminates blind spots and ensures every resource is captured.
- Automatic resource discovery infrastructure setup - indexes, views, and aggregators are provisioned in the background, so you no longer need to configure them manually.
- Enterprise-Scale Reliability - built-in retry logic, intelligent timeout handling, and better rate-limit management than the old API.
