The new Cost Reporting feature is a powerful tool developed to help organisations track and analyse AWS costs with greater precision. It supports multiple contracts per account, enabling cost attribution across complex account structures. With dual storage options for detailed data in Amazon S3 and summary data in DynamoDB the feature provides both granular and high-level views of your AWS spend.
Feature Availability
The Cost Reporting feature is available to all base2Services clients as part of our managed platform services or DevOps partnerships. If you’re an existing customer, this feature may already be active in your environment.

The feature uses an automated processing pipeline that consistently collects, validates, and stores cost data. The pipeline ensures reliable, up-to-date information that can be used to generate reports, build dashboards, and monitor spending trends over time. Additionally, all functions have been upgraded to Python 3.13, enhancing performance and ensuring the use of the latest runtime technology.
